Organizations Hope for Animals – Riska, Link Plus and Feniks have announced today that they have been unpleasently surprised by the news that the retired professor Mirjana Janković from Belgrade, will be fined with 200.000 Serbian dinars – cca. 1623 euros - for „insulting judge of the High Judgiciary Council, Ivan Jovičić, in the park“.
In the National Parliament of Republic of Serbia, on 8th of April 2015, the fourth Green Deputy Forum has been held, organized by deputy Ivan Karić. Suggestions for the sustainable systemic solution of the stray pets issue were presented by the societies Link Plus, Feniks and Hope For Animals – Riska. Representatives of the Small Practice Veterinarians Society and Academy of Cynology also joined the discussion.
In occasion of World Day for Animals in Laboratories, together with our colleges from societies Link Plus and Hope for Animals – Riska, we would like to remind the public that about 150 million animals are sacrificed in cruel experiments.
Starting this year, the Belgrade Marathon became a pet friendly event, enabling dog owners to run Pleasure Race together with their dogs. Responsible owners who brought their vaccinated and microchipped dogs have for the first time walked off the sidewalk and walked with their dogs in the very streets of Belgrade.
In the event of World Stray Animals Day, which is marked on 4th of April, the societies Link Plus, Hope for Animals - Riska and Feniks have sent a public appeal to the decision makers that the problem of abandoned animals in Serbia should be handled systemically, while respecting humane and sustainable practices.

Civil society organizations Link Plus, Hope For Animals - Riska and Feniks have warned today, via a press release, that it is necessary for them to be included in the process of making changes and amendments to the Animal Welfare Law, beginning with the early stage of the process, in accordance with Guide for including Civil Society Organizations in the Regulative Making Process.
In occasion of agitating articles on abandoned dogs, that appeared in Serbian media at the beginning of February, societies Hope For Animals – Riska, Link Plus and Feniks have sent an announcement to media, by which they are calling upon professional and ethical reporting, asking them not to spread panic and not to disturb the public.
In occasion of the false and unprofessional reporting on an attack of a dog on a man, while he was walking his pet, the societies Hope for Animals – Riska, Link Plus and Feniks have sent a report to the president of Journalist Society of Serbia Ljiljana Smajlović, and the president of the Independent Journalist Society of Serbia, Vukašin Obradović.
